These Ayurvedic herbal teas are a blend of balanced spices in a decotion form that helps to keep the heart healthier and sadhak Pitta in balance.

Honey Ginger Tea

This soothing and aromatic tea is great for relieving stress and also a good remedy for a cold and cough.


Serves 2.

Ingredients
1. small lemon
1 tablespoon peeled and freshly sliced ginger
2 cups boiling hot water
honey to taste

Method
1.

Wash the lemon and cut into thin slices.

2.

Place the lemon and ginger slices in a small teapot.

3.

Pour boiling hot water into the teapot.

4.

Allow the tea to infuse for a few minutes.

5.

Sweeten with honey and serve warm.


Lemongrass Tea

Warm body-and-soul with this simple, fragrant and comforting beverage.

Cooking Time : 10 mins.
Preparation Time : 5 mins.

Serves 2.

Ingredients

½ cup lemongrass, finely chopped

½ cup mint leaves, finely chopped

1 teaspoon tea leaves (optional)

jaggery to taste
Method
1.

Combine the lemon grass, mint leaves and jaggery with 5 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil.

2.

Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 3 cups.

3.

Remove from the flame, add the tea leaves, cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.

4.

Strain and serve hot.
