Jyotish Astrology for Marriage Compatiblity - An Introduction

Here is a brief overview of three ways Jyotish helps ensure harmony between couples interested in marriage.

1. Moon Nakshatra
In India, even those who do not really follow Jyotish astrology will often say to another person, 'Aap Chandra Nakshatra hai? (What is your Moon Nakshatra)?' This subtle, emotional compatibility is often used as a key factor in determining compatibility - even among the lay people.
This can easily be determined from a basic chart printout. You need only to supply birth time, place, and date. You may find free sites online that do the printout for you, or other sites may only charge $10-$15 (USA). In India a chart would cost much less. You will find right on the chart the words Chandra/Nakshatra or Moon/Nakshatra - that will be what you are looking for.

2. Compatability Readings

i like this article but i want to know is if marrirge has gone through all these rules like matchmaking, muhurt etc. will b always succesful?
Author: First and formost in any endeavor is sincerity of purpose from start to end. So it is said that even any two people if they sincerely wish and are willing to make it work, could stay married even if jyotish rules are not in tuned. So to answer your question, even when following Jyotish marriage rules, the couple must continually be striving for ever-deeper spiritual growth, becoming closer to God/becoming one. The purpose of marriage is to help each other grow to God, and to raise a new generation of spiritual, ethical children to help improve the society. Such divine focus in marriage is a lifetime of care and devotion.
